Had a gig that was so strange
Had to start late 'cause it rained
Couldn't hear jack shit onstage, it's cool
Gotta reset, rearrange
Drop me off so I can change
Your closet is my happy place
So cool
I like those shiny silver shoes
But I wear it better
How 'bout them sparkly leather boots?
Gonna get it wetter
Hey, I wanna try on your clothes
Hey, I'm gonna try on your clothes
Hey, you wanna try on my clothes?
Drag my pedals up the narrow stairs
Plug me in and get the levels square
I just wanna watch you shake your hair
You're cool
All the moshers stomp and shake the floor
I like that jacket, have I seen it before?
It's like we both doubled our wardrobes
We're cool
That tank top's hella fine on you
You look good in leather
I wanna try on your best suit
So I can wear it better
Hey, I wanna try on your clothes
Hey, I'm gonna try on your clothes
Hey, you wanna try on my clothes?
Today I learned that top's not a shirt
It's a skintight dress that's made of mesh
I can see right through, I rock this room
So fucking cool to share with you
Hey, I wanna try on your clothes
Hey, I'm gonna try on your clothes
Hey, you wanna try on my clothes?
Hey, I wanna try on your clothes
Hey, I'm gonna try on your clothes
Hey, you wanna try on my clothes?
Hey...
Linnea's Garden's first recording, "I Wanna Try on Yr Clothes," is a response to the question: how can we make art when the world is shut down? The answer lies in borrowing gear from friends, bicoastal virtual collaborations, learning new skills, texts and calls, and not losing hope...oh yeah, and a little playing dress-up.
